Election Statement as submitted & certified by the candidate
Being a Council Member of IESL since 2018 for the last six sessions and being an active member of the PA Committee, PSMC, L&PC, National Engineering Heritage Forum, FTA Subcommittee etc. for several sessions, I was able to serve both IESL and the engineering sector ensuring the broader sectoral and national interest. Further, as the Chairman of the BSESC for two sessions, I have greatly contributed to the Building Services Engineering sector with my experience and expertise. Accordingly, I decided to continue the service I tendered to IESL for the next session too.
As an elected member of the Council, I will ensure that engineers have a leading role in the creation of policies and plans for the development of Sri Lanka. I will also actively engage with IESL for the benefit of members to uphold their professional development, their rights, and privileges. Thus, I will ensure best practices in all IESL activities including the PR process, engineering education, administration, issues related to engineers’ ethics etc. Further I assure that I will take steps to bridge the gap between the public and IESL and will act proactively with a sustainable vision on the issues related to the engineering sector.
