During my presence in the IESL Council for 6 years, I have gone through processes and best practices of the Institution that one has to be thorough prior to assuming a responsible position to drive affairs of the Institution.
As Chairman of Building Services Engineering Sectional Committee, I also had the opportunity to serve in various other standing committees of IESL which in turn helped me to understand and contribute towards the development of the Institution and to the betterment of members and the general public.
These learnings and experience gained during my tenure at IESL have made me to apply for the Post Vice President this year in continuing my services to the council and to the profession. Having served in the private sector and currently holding a Chief Technology Officer position in a leading public quoted company engaged in the building services Sector, I am confident, I could immensely contribute to professional development of Engineers and to the profession of Building Construction Industry.
The development of Local/National codes, fast tracking of recognising training places for engineers, CPDs and short courses for membership, progression with foreign chapters are key areas of focus.
